Welcome to Case Study Coffee Alberta

Welcome, friends! We are thrilled to welcome you to our new space at 1422 NE Alberta. Finally,  the build-out is done and we are serving up great things from our brand-new custom laser-etched Synesso Hydra espresso machine. Here are a few highlights of the space, which was designed by our co-owner Wes Russell and executed by all of us.

The Caffeine Molecule

Yep. That's right. Our custom chandelier is a 12-foot caffeine molecule. We draw from Cold War-era design when we create our Sputnik chandeliers, but this one is extra special.

The Rowland 40/4 chairs

Some of the most comfortable chairs you'll ever plant yourself in. Designed in 1963 by famed American designer David Rowland, these chairs will stack 40 in a 4-foot space and took the design world by storm, winning the prestigious Milan Triennale the next year. We refinished them in an original taupe color to echo the Mid-Century design aesthetic we so love.

The Heath Ceramics Tile

Years ago in the Bay Area, Christine's dad was an architect who used Edith Heath's legendary ceramic tiles in some of his projects, including the beautiful home he built for his family. Coming full circle, Chris laid all the Heath tile in our new space, both the white subway and the beautiful teal backsplash.

Coco Chin is our new typography expert. He designed this logo. Isn't it killer?

Our people!

We're excited about the new location. We labored long and hard to bring it to fruition, and we're still working out the kinks. But the real core of Case Study Coffee is our team of baristas, shift leads, managers, and tech, designer, marketing person, and super-involved owners. And... you! Our customers! Thank you for making Case Study Coffee a success--see you in the morning, bright and early!
