Producer: 2,500 smallholder farmers in the Qonqona cooperative
Variety: Walecho, Michicho
Named after a local river, Qonqona (Kōn-Kōna) Mill is at the heart of a bustling mountainous coffee economy just outside the town of Daye. Producers here practice meticulous cultivation techniques, with a focus on locally isolated heirloom varieties such as Walecho and Michicho. We're excited to be working with Qonqona Mill and are especially proud of their efforts to develop their community through ecological education, agronomic incentivizing, and ecotourism.
