Fazenda Aroma Real is a fourth-generation family coffee farm located in Carmo de Minas, in Brazil’s Serra da Mantiqueira region. Originally founded in 1900 as Botafora, the farm manages the entire process from harvest to coffee processing in-house and is a member of the COCARIVE cooperative.

The farm maintains a small permanent team alongside seasonal workers during the May–September harvest. Its approach combines a long family history of coffee production with a commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, and forest preservation.

This coffee is sourced through JC Coffee, whose focus is on quality over quantity, fair pricing, and building direct relationships between small roasters and the farmers who grow their coffee. Founder Sergio Dias grew up on his family’s farm in Carmo de Minas before moving to Washington in 1980. After watching Seattle’s specialty coffee culture develop, he began working to connect coffees from his hometown with roasters in the United States.
