Victor Calderon purchased Finca El Tambor in a severe state of disrepair, with poorly maintained biomass and regular soil abuse due to invasive mining practices. After wrestling ownership of the land away from the mine, Victor has rehabilitated the former mining areas and is producing some of the most consistent crops we've tasted from all of Guatemala.
The Calderon Family uses biodynamic agricultural practices, which Victor calls "common sense". They use only organic practices, without chemicals, and spread clay to combat rust.
